Gotcha. Yeah that quote was actually on a leftover camo 2017.. I was thinking exactly what you said, at least shoot for a roof or windshield if they won’t budge much on the price.

That’s exactly what I did. Mine was on sale for $7599+$1000 in fees, I ended up paying $8250 with a Honda windshield and roof.

See that’s a heck of a deal.. you’re in the low 8,000’s AND getting a windshield & roof.. I’m starting out above $9K.. Do many dealerships back down $800-$1k off the initial quoted price?

I’m not 100% sure. It depends on the dealership. When I bought my new zero turn about 5 years ago, it was a hold over unit and it was marked down from $8000 to $6400. I had a guy tell me that they drop the price because the interest payments come due within a year and they have to move them or pay it. I’m not sure if atv dealerships operate on the same basis but just something to keep in mind. Play hard ball, tell them you are going to buy something today and they might work with you. Take your trailer with you to the dealership, that makes a statement!! That’s what I did and it worked. I’d say if you can get it for $8000 you should pull the trigger. Good luck.

Remember that camo is like a $500 option.

@Russ989 Good point, didn’t really consider that

@trigger I’ve been wondering whether you should/shouldn’t mention the name of specific dealerships when trying to get a price match. Good to know.

Hello from Texas,

My new Pioneer 500, red with Honda Rear Cargo box was $6932 OTD. I do own a farm and no sales tax was included. Couldn't turn it down at that price. BTW, it was the last one at that price.

Try Southern Powersports of Chattanooga Tn. I seen your in Georiga. They claim no hidden fees, my next time Im going to try them.
I bought my Goldwing from them years ago. They sell more machines in a weekend then most dealer in a month. About to buy a '17 500 for a quoted out-the-door price of $8500 which includes state tax (2.9%). I did see many dealers advertising in the $7400 range but once destination, paperwork, lug nut tightening fees were added they soared to over $9k!

Bad experience with Southern Powersports, they were insisting I sign an arbitration agreement, after they had been fined over $100k for selling without required recall fixes. Unloaded atv and bought elsewhere.
Would you sign?

Ok, new member here.. not an owner yet but have been reading through nearly every P500 post on this site.. I have learned a lot and unfortunately (or fortunately?) im now gonna have to fork out some money to get one of these bad boys! Can anyone offer tips on how to get the lowest OTD price. Located in the Carolinas and I’ve got a couple quotes. So far the best is $9285. That’s a price of $8698, none of the ‘hidden’ fees, only additional is tax. I’ve got another quote that’s a much lower list price but almost $1000 in fees so it almost equals out. I need to know how all of you are getting OTD prices in the low $8000’s!? Are they just more expensive in my area? Please help so I can get a deal I don’t regret. Thanks!

Call Vince "Mudd Mann" Rogers at Capital Power Sports in Wake Forest (919) 719-0700 . He has some great deals on the P500 going on right now. Tell him Jason sent you. @Mudd_Man

Just picked up my 2017 for an OTD price of $8,289. I envy those that got one for less than $8k, that's just not happening out my way.

When I got my 17 in November of 2016, Bama Powersports in Oxford, AL had the best price I found in AL or GA, all prices were OTD, and I got a better than web listed price by calling them. I think they are now Speedzone Motorsports - their website lists 2017 P500 for $8499 and 2018 for $8999. Being a different name I'm not sure if still OTD prices listed. I'd keep checking with other dealers, a P500 is a P500 so at the end of the day the only thing they are selling is service, and if you do your own work you can certainly go with the lowest price.

Sorry to bump this ancient thread, but I'm seeing this roller coaster of OTD prices on the 18's now. Advertised as being on sale for 6999, but the OTD price is 8500, another for sale for 7600, and the OTD price os 8700. Highest so far has been 9200 OTD. Pretty frustrating!

Yep it gets a little old trying to get to the actual price. At least you are getting some prices, I was in Ride Now in Concord NC for over an hour with cash in my pocket and never did get a price. Some places only want to sale payments and financing the actual price is not relevant to a lot of buyers and that’s the ones Ride Now wants to deal with. I took my cash to Team Charlotte and was out the door in 30 minuets with a new machine.
