Got the 1" nylon straps from Amazon today. Worked out great to attach the box to the factory D rings. The clips won't fit thru the factory D rings but do fit thru the Harbor freight ones so all good.

Decided to forgo the tail gate I had and go with the SATV bed enclosure. I used some of the store credit I had from the warranty return on the bag at Heartland Honda. Quite handy that they had the bed enclosure in stock. I like the look and gained 7.5" of extra storage room between the TSC box and the enclosure.

I was not super happy with the open cell foam weatherstripping I used on the Tractor Supply storage box so after a little searching, I found some marine grade rubber weatherstripping at Home Depot that looked perfect for this application. $8.35 for 10' at my HD.

I cut it to fit and got it installed. The lid is much tighter and I feel like this is the perfect answer to sealing the box as well as possible.

That is the same weather stripping I used on my storage box that I had on my RZR, and the one I put on my Talon. It works well. I use some Goop glue to hold it in spots where it may not want to stick.

The lower piece is attached with a stainless machine screw and nylock nut. The upper parts are attached with stainless sheetmetal screws as there is no back side access.

Video from tonight's project. Install and review of the Hess Motorsports steering quick connector and Dragonfire D shaped steering wheel. Turned out to be one of my favorite mods. Pretty slick setup.

Thanks Dragon! ! I've had several cars and trucks with aftermarket wheels and the look and feel is so much better than most stock wheels. The plastic wheel on the Talon always looked cheap to me. The aftermarket wheel gives the cabin a whole new look an a much sportier vibe. I have larger hands and the bigger grip surface feels so much better to me.

Thanks! Did you go with suade or vinyl? I’m assuming vinyl for cleaning?

The suede vs vinyl debate is one reason that I had not gotten on with this mod earlier. I really like the look and feel of the suede and finally decided that I would go with that. Only problem is the Dragonfire black suede with red stitching is out of stock for a couple months. I couldn't find another D shaped suede wheel with red stitching that wasn't $300 so I opted for the vinyl and feel like it's probably a better choice for the reason you mentioned. Don't see any way around the vinyl not being easier to keep clean than the suede.

I wanted to thank you for including the links for the TSC storage box and bits used to install it (including the rubber T handle thingies) on the youtube page. Clickity, clickity, click. One of the secrets in life - everything has already been invented, find it and copy it - you did the work, everyone else benefits. #beers 👍

Thanks! I did not do video on the heated seats. I should have but it kinda was a rush, rush deal so I dropped the video ball. Rocky Mountain ATV has a good video on their site for the same kit going in a RZR. The pics I posted a few pages back should show how I got the pads to fit on the oddly shaped Talon foam etc... Let me know if I can answer any questions when you do your install.

You beat me to it on the steering wheel ;). Looks great, though. The Hess quick coupler looks awesome so it may happen in the future if I don't like the adapter I'm going to use.

I'll have a video up soon after mine delivers tomorrow for the setup I'm going to use.

Alright gentlemen, the time has come. I removed all the extra lights and such off the cage, stripped all the decals and delivered the Talon to Matt at MD Off road this morning. Operation massive makeover has begun. Custom cage build pics coming in a few days.
