The Bandit UTV tender springs were on the big brown truck yesterday. We're riding tomorrow and will change the springs next week. I'll do vids of the process of changing the springs and then some ride vids.

The springs are shorter than the others I've seen. Seem to be made of heavier wire than the others as well. Fronts are 4.25" and rears are 3.5". Ted From Bandit UTV told me that they do not use crossovers on there stuff. Assuming that's why the springs are shorter. I'll post more when I get to it. If they work, they will be an amazing deal. The set of 4 was $199.99 plus shipping.

Ride report from yesterday.

We rode at Mill Creek OHV trail. Terrain is rocky. We experienced the same things that most have. The Talon worked quite well. Spent nearly 100% of the day in 2wd high range even though I did experiment with all the other settings just to see. The usual complaints about the overly stiff rear suspension and the touchy throttle. I got somewhat better with the throttle as the day went on. These trails are rough, steep and rocky so that made it challenging in those areas.

The rear shocks/springs were not as bad as I assumed they were going to be given what others have reported but I feel like the big, soft Roxxzilla's helped a lot in that area. Now that I have a base line I will install the new Bandit UTV tenders this week before we go on another ride next weekend. An interesting observation from yesterday is that every SXS I saw out there had the rear tender springs cranked down into coil bind. No matter the brand. Every one of them. I just don't get that other than people trying to get the max ground clearance. I'm hoping the new Bandit springs will actually function as springs and not just spacers as all these other are.

Mud Buster's did a great job of keeping mud off of us. I do still want to add the lower doors but the mud that entered the cab was mostly just at the door sills and not on us. I did bottom out the left rear right in front of the tire on a big rock which popped the rear mud guard out of place. The bottom of the Mud Buster mud guard just sits inside the body work so I need to attach it better at the bottom or find a plan B. Something more flexible to cover that area would be good.

SATV half windshield worked great. The trails were somewhat dusty but not too bad. The windshield seemed to deflect the dust up and over our heads for the most part while still allowing air flow. It was 85° yesterday and we were quite comfortable. The only thing I've done in the way of any heat mitigation is the large firewall shield available on Ebay.

CA shift gate is a joy to use vs the original. Never any issue with it not staying in gear and the ease of going from reverse to forward is a big plus.

Ancient trailer performed well. Talon works great on it.

Right after we slug it in the big mud hole.

We did hook up with some really nice folks that arrived at the trail head as the same time we did. Rode with them all day. 2 RZR XP100's and a 19 Turbo 4 seater. We listened to the new RZR turbo rattling it's way along the trails all day.)

My lovely bride of 35 years in deep thought on her first SXS foray thru the woods. She has little interest in trail riding but amazingly enough has much interest in being with me. She was definitely out of her comfort zone but we had a great time.

We are blessed to live in a place that has a myriad of choices on beautiful places to ride as long as you like rocks.

And right after the ride was over. I spent $24 at the car wash on the Talon and trailer. lol... Mud is still running out of it.

New Bandit UTV Suspension tender springs got installed this afternoon. Really an interesting difference in what Honda did and how Bandit went about it. I can already tell it's going to be a lot better. Will ride again next weekend and report back.

Added a reflective hood decal this week. Saw it on one of the FB groups and had to have it.

Also finally got it cleaned up from last weekend. Just in time to go throw it in an even bigger mud hole this weekend. lol.. It has rained nearly a foot here in the last week. We are going to a charity poker run tomorrow with a large group so other SXS's. Should be an interesting day. Anxious to see how the tender springs work.

Few pics from the weekend. I haven't processed the video. Work has been crazy and I'm a bit under the weather as well. We had a great time but will admit to throwing the X in WAY to deep in a mud hole. No one and I mean no one thought it was going to get out on it's own but it did. Thing is amazing. Ton of rain the week before the ride left us with very sloppy trails for sure.

First and foremost a shout out to my wife Cheryl. I drowned her in the aforementioned mud hole very first thing but she was a trooper all day long even though she was wet and cold. Friend had the extra coveralls. I think that was about the only thing that prevented the divorce. lol...

Got the Super ATV lower doors installed. I must say I am very happy with the choice to go with SATV. You can tell a lot about a product and a company by how they package their parts. Amazing packaging on these lower doors.

Also nice hardware and equally nice packaging to ensure you have what you need for the install.

Installation was very straightforward. Just a matter of drilling out the fore and aft factory spots and marking and drilling 3 additional holes on the bottom of the doors. It is necessary to remove the outer door skins for access. Very nice instructions with large pictures.

The lower doors fit great and are very solid. They do provide door stops that mount to the door sills on the body but I chose not to use them.

You should check out Buckhorn over by devils den .. one of my favorite places to ride. Mac Pines is also good and rush springs up by Jane MO is decent to ride if you want a smaller part that will allow you to test out what your Honda will do .. but rush is $30 a day to ride

That never stops lol... I have few things to change out from my trip to TN last weekend and prep it for @Kilo427 to help me put in some weld washers for the skid plates that got taken off on the ride so I do know what you mean but that is probably half the fun too or a quarter of it

I do enjoy messing with it probably much more than I should. It truly is a big part of the fun.
