I originally had the bypass route but my awesome amazon valves leaked so i cut the bypass route out and just created a loop... essentially just extending the line coming from oil cooler to heater then heater to water pump. leaving stock hose at each location and using 1/2” to5/8 adapters (part numbers coming soon)
Is there by chance you have some pics of the hose routing? Just curious to how it looks

Monte, you sounded like the press at a press conference with that question lol JK.no, that’s ok.
They suck actually lol. There is some explication on some things that is crucial like directional of the hoses for the heater core. Now the 9” unit at witch I have, it dosnt matter so that was quick. The switch has a diagram on how to wire it (needed) but the rest is useful but not helpful in application. The second part to your question is yes, I plan on a parts list and will do my best with it. :)
Ok great. Thank you.

I want to clean up the 10 additions but open the hood, stare at it for a minute, and decide “F this it’s working, I’d rather ride”
I agree! I have a new stereo to put in so I got a new switch plate. I’ll be getting in there but I dread it and there will be minamal messin around with stuff! I like my sanity

you’ll have to step up to 5/8” first then run all 5/8” fittings .... or run it all in 1/2” then just step up to 5/8” before heater and then back down to 1/2” right after. I looked forever for a 1/2” x 5/8” x 1/2” T and couldn’t find one anywhere.

I was wondering if anyone has tried these heaters or anything similar: Cabin Heater Kit by Stratos Climate | Aftermarket Heater

Also if anyone could point me in the direction of where to order a heavy duty 12v outlet it woould be much appreciated. I keep blowing the fuse running a small defroster heater from the factory outlet. I want to run a heavy duty outlet directly to the battery.

If I was going to have a heater on my 1000 I would use the incab heater and mount it on top of my wet sounds sub so It would blow toward the windshield.

THIS has 12ga wire probably about as heavy as you are going to get but I would fuse it according to wire length and voltage.

I have two of the small defrosters, I only use in the winter, and I am having to run them to a timed relays since they draw so much.
Gives the battery a chance to recover.

Ok thanks. I have the second battery kit. My main problem is windshield fogging/ icing. I'm using a cheap, slim plug in defroster and does not have much heat output. Not enough to keep the glass windshield clear. I don't really want to install an all- out heater system but may have to. The videos of the stratos heater do not show the running of hoses to the coolant hoses but in the item description on amazon they are included.
