Guess we going from record snow and lows to spring storms in a weeks time.

A period of wet weather looks to impact portions of the state and areas to the northeast, primarily from late week into the first half of next week. Some areas could see between three to six inches of rainfall which could lead to some flash flooding and river flooding concerns. Keep an eye on the forecast in the coming days.

When we burned all those piles at the camp, with snow still on the ground, we needed to alert the fire department in Judique and Port Hood. Both chiefs are related to us. They just said go for it.
Plus we needed our neighbor with his excavator, and a permit. And if we didn’t burn anything else, we got the money back.

And our neighbor burns every year without telling anyone.

I burned an old house where we live now, Fire Dept shows up and checks out what I'm doing, see's my brush hoged field with a 40 ft disced border, Fire Dept left, now when I burn brush piles and some one calls in on me, they just honk and wave.

Yep, you do. Those pine are volatile. That’s why people are so sketchy here when I burn....🤷‍♂️

Oh I called it in to state police as required, called my buddy over to work it with me, who is a member of the Cabo Lucero fire department and alerted Cabo via his field radio, But deputy dog Tim Nix (fire chief) had to leave work early in town and run out here (30 minutes) to the station, jump in his big truck, and race over siren and lights ablaze....🤷‍♂️🙄
