Was in Baton Rouge this morning, got some Boudin and Jambalaya, a bit troublesome to find it kosher, but I did. No winter snow here, awesome live oaks stretched out over 100’ with branches as big as the main trunks of a lot of trees. Plantations with antebellum’s….lots of seafood. I think you’d fit in and winter over just fine here.

Met a Canadian, from Montreal, he camped next to us last night, he’s in a 43’ A Class, on his way to Palm Springs where he winters…
L says we’ll be down next year. 😊
He goes early to go for winter.. He’ll have to be back in April. I think I would wait another month.

we have a few days of reasonably warm/dry weather so it's vehicle washing week for me.yesterday i did the truck wash/wax and powerwashed the honda.today the wifes Mazda gets a detail/wax,then it's all 6 boats getting a powerwash.after this it will be far and few between that i get days warm enough to clean them without them freezing solid overnight.
It changed in the last couple days here. It got cool and is staying cool.
I have to wash the bike tomorrow. I pressured washed it when I got home from Cape Breton but it needs a good wash.
Hopefully it’s nice tomorrow.

I talked to a friend in Yuma last night and they are beginning to see AT and BC plates. He thinks soon there will be more rich Canadians than illegals. He's hoping crime will subside since the folks from North of the border are too polite to steal and they just wait for their government to give them "free stuff". He says there are good and bad issues with Northern invaders...all good folks but they take all the early tee times.

They both are a boost to the US economy. And everything is paid for, one way or another…..

That's very confusing and a joke right!!

Certainly the Canadians pay their way...the illegals, and a bunch of those brought into the US from Afgahan "rescue" efforts are a major threat to the US security and economy. I believe you are too smart to believe otherwise. We need not borrow any more money until we can balance our national budget. There are NO FREE lunches or socialist programs and it makes no sense to pay people to stay home and not work. Common sense must prevail quickly or our children's children will need to learn to speak Chinese.

If you were to read the Pentagon’s annual report to congress on the growing military threat posed by China to the US, the one nobody pays attention to, not even congress, you’d know that the grandkids will be speaking Chinese….

As to “illegals”, besides the fact that president Polk incited a war with Mexico for the express purpose of taking New Mexican, Arizona, Nevada, Utah and Colorado from them, against the wishes of congressman Abraham Lincoln and about 1/3 of congress, it happened and Mexico lost 1/2 of their territory so it’s quite debatable who’s “illegal”…..

Otherwise, yeah, they add a lot to the economy.

And I agree that it makes no sense to pay people to stay home. The Covid Cares act signed into law by Trump thankfully expired in late August and we don’t have that situation any longer….

Professionally, I fought the Russians and up until about 5 years ago or more I still considered them the primary threat to US security. Starting in 1995 I switched to terrorist threats. I can assure everyone that the public documents do NOT tell more than a watered down politically slanted presentation. I don't expect that to change.

I'm aware of history. It's the violation of current US law that concerns me. I fully support lawful migration of non-US citizens and assistance to those less fortunate as appropriate. We send billions of US dollars in foreign aid, most of which is misdirected or syphoned off by corrupt governments. Beyond that, uneducated and unskilled unlawful entry does nothing to help and puts a serious drag on the US economy and local communities where they settle. The work permit program does a fine job of providing legal access where needed. We certainly need semiskilled labor to pick and roast Hatch peppers. I bet most of our produce is processed by folks on work permits. BTW, 505 has significantly increased their products in North Idaho...had some last night. Thanks again for your "care package"!!

I have all the answers to our problems but there is little chance of me being KING...so we can only hope the people we elect do the right things to make sure our country a world leader and partner in progress to the benefit the little blue marble...we ain't there yet.

Speaking of Russia, they are a big part of the Pentagon’s China report, which I down load the pdf on every year as I’ve been very concerned about them since the illegitimate invasion of Iraq. Russia, China and Iran now have economic and military alliances, their militaries train together, and together they pose a grave threat to the US.

I totally agree with you about foreign aid.

construction, agriculture, hospitality and food service are some of the many industries that benefit from the cheap labor of undocumented workers, and Chinamart (of course I mean Walmart) is evidence that Americans are more interested in cheap products than America’s jobs…

I am aware that 505 is expanding its horizons…😊
And you’re welcome for the Hatch goodies…

I made fajitas last night and just had the little bit of leftovers on my nachos...it was wonderful and I'm so glad we have labors to pick crops and butcher dead cows...just wish they were legal...as I grab my happy stick and dance in a circle!!

BTW, I saw intel reports for months discussing Saddam's chemical weapons...he had em...maybe they were turned over to a near by Muslim nation for safe keeping...dunno...wonder what else he had that benefitted a neighbor.

Spam and Idaho tatters with a splash of green pepper sauce for dinner with something called "cherry delight" to finish it off.

So, I dropped off the A class at Red Bay Alabama which looks like there wouldn’t even be a town there if not for Tiffin’s RV operation. I’ve never seen so many A classes in a 5 square mile area….😳

I’m number 866 and they had just pulled number 790 into the service bay. Will be a month before it’s touched, and probably 2 before I get it back.

Good thing it’s winter….🤔

Back in Hot springs and it was 80* today. Rain on Sunday.
