Depending upon group sentiment can always hit Eternal Flame on way back, just adds another 90 minutes.
Alternatively if I plot a route without Windrock trails, the Eternal Flame would line right up as a first POI going west before heading south across New River unit to prison, need to check it out for difficulty of trails and time to get there.
@Hondasxs is coming in January sometime, maybe we can plot a route then.
I'll say cool video for sure! How long does the tour take? Sure gave me the willies just looking at it outside the main gate this year! Most of the "Tour Guides" if you want to use one are retired Corrections Officers some 4th generation of family that worked in the place.
Cool video:

I may have to just drive over there and spend the day, I like that kind of stuff. ???????????? And ride with Y'all also there for lunch and scenery. You can walk through it in as little as an hour or spend 4+ hours if you read all the historical things posted, especially in the museum section.
I will most likely go early in the week. So a good possibility a few of us will be around RRB. I'm sure there will be people to group up with.I hate I'm going to miss all the trips I won't arrive till around noon on Thursday. But that will give me time to do my own thing that afternoon which I enjoy a lot also.
