It's one of the only trucks that goes up in resale. Everyone I've ever sold went to someone who had a newer Ford or chev diesel that got to be too expensive to work on

The reason the newer truck have so many issues is the manufacturers squeeze to much power out of them and the have made them to complex. It was but 15 years ago you could get 1mil. Miles out of a semi. Thise days are long gone. But the small equipment 4 cylinder engines are still like the old stuff for the most part. Mechanical injection

That Nissan doesn't have enough to handle my duties... real trucks have 4 back wheels! :)

It would be close at 13k towing but you're right. However for a 1/2 ton it's the strongest

Last time I scaled with my toyhauler I was right at 35,000 lbs. I don't know any half tons or heavy half that do that... a 3/4 does it but not well...

Hay season is even worse. I'm not sure what we scale at cause we are in the country on small roads or gravel and don't go far or fast, but 15 big rolls should be around 42000-45000 lbs before you figure the trailer weight. Probably around 50,000 total. Again we don't go far or fast but it's loaded and you know it.

Valve adjustment? Lol fuel plate move control arm on boost and timing is all that gets done but it's only for fun. 06c9c172bcc37b79a83215ec3ae31436
They are more the a million mile motor lol.
Both of ours are "remotely" stock power. Mine was a stick but I converted it. I'm going to get another 92 2wd for strictly towing and that will be a 6speed manual. They are just to angry for town with a stick I hate that but strictly a tow rig I'll go back. A 92 2wd stick I'll get 25+ towing so that's my plan

I was well over 50k with 'a 96 Dodge across state you saw that lol. I'm just saying the Nissan would be enough for 98 percent of people out there. It's absolutely insane to me how many people drive a big truck that never has more then groceries in it. Most people at my work drive trucks without scratches the receiver ball or box and half are 3/4 or 1 ton.

I totally agree. I had an 89 F250 7.3L for 20 years. Loved that truck. I could haul houses with it. In 2009 I had some life changes and wasn't using it. I downgraded to a 150 and got rid of the 250. I have 150K on the 150 and it tows like a dream. When I replaced the shocks not too long ago I thought it would need aligned. The shop told me they didn't even need to adjust it. I've towed my 2200lb trailer with the Pioneer and two other 4 wheelers without a problem.

If you need to tow toy haulers and such go big. I completely agree. If you're hauling a Pioneer, etc. you don't need a big truck.
