P1000 Cumminspusher-the New Ride

Third build on a Pioneer platform in a year it can only get better. More lighting, more automation, more protection, more innovation, more storage, more ability, more suspension, more passengers and more fun. Less weight, less vibrations, less roof. Tiring.

I was well over 50k with 'a 96 Dodge across state you saw that lol. I'm just saying the Nissan would be enough for 98 percent of people out there. It's absolutely insane to me how many people drive a big truck that never has more then groceries in it. Most people at my work drive trucks without scratches the receiver ball or box and half are 3/4 or 1 ton.
Ha, You are right. Ill just abuse my 1/2 tons + . For week ends.

I totally agree. I had an 89 F250 7.3L for 20 years. Loved that truck. I could haul houses with it. In 2009 I had some life changes and wasn't using it. I downgraded to a 150 and got rid of the 250. I have 150K on the 150 and it tows like a dream. When I replaced the shocks not too long ago I thought it would need aligned. The shop told me they didn't even need to adjust it. I've towed my 2200lb trailer with the Pioneer and two other 4 wheelers without a problem.

If you need to tow toy haulers and such go big. I completely agree. If you're hauling a Pioneer, etc. you don't need a big truck.

Toyhauler I agree as long as it's over 20 ft. One thing I've learned from our trips is the components on a half ton usually hold up better on the bad roads it doesn't beat itself to death. The only reason we run 3/4 is because of the 20+mpg and a motor that will never have a problem in any way even with components. We don't need a 3/4 but I love Cummins. I'm just wanting to kill off 4x4 for towing its unnecessary almost all the time and becomes waisted money

The Z was the best pulling rig I ever had, it would just buzz along how ever fast you wanted to go. I hope the Tundra works as well, pulling the trailer and PK 1

4WD is absolutely necessary here when towing up some of the hills on sketchy hwys in the snow. I think your right about component wear. I haven't put near the money into the 150 as I did the 250 in the same amount of miles.

You think any body will build a front end that will last with a diesel motor in a 1/2 ton rig. Dodge 3/4 is still working on it?

Not so much the front end as it is the frame handling the torque, I believe. Could be wrong.

I won't get rid of my 4x4 that's not a possibility (remember we have more snow then you lol) just going to add a 2x4 for towing in non snow. It would pay for itself in saved components over the next few years. Considering we're city folk we put a lot of s***ty dirt road miles a year. This year alone over 2500 and that not gravel either we don't cement camp and that's hard on any pickup especially because I'm always in a hurry.I had my truck was flawless the beginning of this year its beat to hell on the outside it actually gets used. I treat it like the Pioneer. Time for a second for just beating

The only time I had the front end of my 250 rebuilt was when some kid tried to park under it sitting in front of my house. Then again, I went through tires like oxygen... lol

Front end yes but we're hard on it. The rest is Bullet proof though. And it doesn't go to the dealer when it doesn't run because of stupid expensive s***. Fuel filter and it runs. So the front end I just will spend 150 a year rebuilding. It's ok
