Yeah it was sporty. disabled boat 200nm offshore. Went and hoisted down parts one of our Cutters headed their way. Wish the hoist cam would have worked so I could post the video here. They were taking waves over the bow, props coming out of the water.

Me? Well, I'll be 53 this month. At the rate I'm going I'll retire when I'm 90... lol
I'm eligible to retire in 7 years. But we're seriously looking at buying property in the next three. Have several hunts lined up this year that'll keep me from traveling anywhere. So I think when we transfer back down south in '18 we'll spend a couple weeks in Idaho and solidify where we want to be.

@Jediwrathchild did you see the post about shipping the spare tire mount/cooler/rotopax? Looks like it might be about $100 to Kodiak from Tacoma. I still need to call them.
Hah yeah it was fun. One of the most challenging hoists I've ever done. Glad we were able to make it out there before dark. Would've been a whole other beast then.
Yeah I've been following that thread. That's not bad at all. Gotta decide now whether a carrier or arms and tires is the priority! Hah

A lot has to do with how many universities are around Boise. My wife's goal is to be a professor after she's finishes her doctorate. The other option (which I favor) is around coure d'Alene since theres good proximity to Spokane. As much as I love wide
Open spaces Im a music nerd that needs decent shows nearby. We travel a lot too so a good airport nearby is a must as well.

Not necessarily. Elk are abundant there, as well as many deer species and bear. Small game and birds are abundant also.
