More to come but I decided to see what it would be like to follow in @GlockMeister footsteps and I started taking off my lift last night. Which is something I have been wanting to try for a while.

I had been riding with the Fox shock for a while when I first put on the lift... I initial impression was that I did not like the lift but knew I needed to give it time. Soon after I put on the SATV A Arms and went from a 28"/15" tire to a 30"/14" tire and the ride greatly improved. I have always remember the difference in pre lift and lift ride however.

So after reading the discussion on how shocks work (@snuffnwhisky @joeymt33) And talking to @GlockMeister about his initial experience I decided to take of my lift.

While pulling the front last night I noticed one of the holes on the lift bar had gotten wider. Oddly enough the stock holes it lines up with did not seem to suffer the same fate

No updates for a while - Met @my99svt & his better half yesterday along with a Rzr friend of ours to ride Buckhorn trails here in AR. They are adding in trails fast there and we did a little exploring.

No telling how many spiders I picked up... stopped at car wash on way home for round 1 of spraying and finished round 2 this morning. Still finding them dang it.

Also found a water/mud hole that got deeper than expected ... it was up to the seat - when I saw my cigar box (that was in the underdash storage float over to the steering wheel I figured time to put it in reverse lol

Fun day and weather was about perfect we got there just as the rain was stopping so no dust at all

Performed a little maintenance this past weekend.
1. Changed our the brake pads - this time going from Raceline back to OEM
2. Replaced a seal on the passage rear Axle - First pic is after I moved the Honda to provide more room to remove the axle in the garage
IMG 5549 IMG 5551
easy swap out

lastly it is looking like it is time to schedule a time to get weld washers installed on the top front A arms... the holes continue to get enlarged slightly as the nuts become loose despite using lock tight.. I had ordered 2 sets of new hardware so I went ahead and installed a set I really think that if you changed out to Super ATV A arms you should install new hardware - I can tell that the nuts (which are pinched I believe) just did not have the same tightness as the new nuts I put on this weekend. As a safety measure I grabbed some other M10-1.25 nuts as backup and installed as below (with Red lock tight this time )

I have some Weld Washers that I will take pics of after I get installed

While I love riding at buckhorn I swear something breaks every time I am out there.. today was no exception .. riding with @my99svt , his wife and some of our Rzr friends I am leading the way when I hear a unusual noice from the drivers rear tires area... I stop and look .. see that the jam nut on my SATV a arm appear to have come loose.. no problem grab a wrench give it a yank and pop ... the remaining threads in the A arm expose themselves.

No worry bailing wire to the rescue we winch me up on the side a little and I wrap bailing wire around it to hold it together... luckily we were 1/2 mile from some blacktop and gravel roads and made it back to the parking place . I will have to call super atv Monday to see about a warranty replacement.

Ended up finishing the day by finally installing the attachment points for my wheel bonnets - took it for a spin down the road and like them so far

First time running front and back cameras - I ahd the back running off a battery pack so I was saving until we got to a later part of the trail.... and then my a arm broke and cut the ride short. However I did get a little footage that I wanted to see how editing worked.

I really thought the threads on the T’s had stripped out but it turns out that it was the threads on the inside of the A arm. However in less than a week I am back up and ready to go. I will say that after taking the T’s out there was a bit of water that came out of the A arm... I know @GlockMeister noticed that on a set of his A arms previously which is why I was checking.

Better look at trail Side repair

Well the holes for my upper A arm bolts were getting worn a little more. Big Thanks to @Neohio for the weld washers and bolts that he worked up.. I was finally a ole to get. A local welder to weld them on this past week - I really need to learn to weld. I took the Honda out this afternoon and it is nice to be solid up front again.

First two pics are a comparison of some other weld washers next to the ones @Neohio had made

After the overland trip I have a little tlc to complete on the Honda.
  1. Swapped out both Tie rod ends (one was very loose and the threads had gotten filed down so that I could not get any tighter - greatly improved steering.
  2. Need Front and back bushings replaced
  3. Need to replace the rear hub bushings - to which I was looking at Honda OEM first but went with Garage Products bushing kits...

I post up about the install after

Also a couple of pics from Sat and @my99svt getting into a little trouble... going up a trail he got well you’ll see below. Note that his roll cage was stuck on a rock on the drivers side preventing movement

that is also a steep bank getting down there to help him lol.
