Also @PaulF please yell at me as soon as you could on those bushings. I’d appreciate it. Apparently I could use one sooner then later😢

I remember him saying it was limited. Damn I guess I took too long to get the Talon😢
If you wait a little, Honda copied my design on the 2022.

I have ordered the parts to see if they retrofit on pre '22's (I think they will). As soon as they arrive, I will verify and post what parts are needed and how to do it.

Ya I wanted one.
Talked to a couple people that said that right way to go. Hess seems to make good stuff. Now you got me nervous?
I like the straight shot from Low to Reverse, it will let you save rolling over backwards on a steep climb instead of dancing around a Neutral gate. There are a dozen choices, anyone of them better than stock (which I'm still running).

@PaulF i know you were making the relocation kits. I was wondering if you made for the Live Valve? I didn’t see anything on that. Looking for 2 kits one LV and one standard.
Hey ya I am still making kits I have them for live valve models and standard models I give you the option of 4 different plates to put in oem cluster location shoot me a message if your interested

I do like the design on shift gates. Like said about having of Talon’s I’ve been in had the bang. One was adjusted some and still does occasionally. Just little I’ve messed with mine felt a little chunk. How’s yours?

My first SxS (and Talon) exposure was at Sand Hollow with Lil_Steve, Nov. '19. There were a lot of K-turns and we experienced several bangs. Neither of us were familiar with the problem and just shrugged it off as a manual transmission quirk. Like you, we've since learned the cause and effect.

My first Talon (stolen) did it twice in the 1553 miles I owned it, the new one hasn't done it at all, and I'm thankful for that, knowing what it can lead to. I'm very deliberate in my shifting and rarely use Low when cold. I try to do a rolling shift into Low, similar to double clutching a non-syncro stick shift (especially if I have to use Low when cold). I do this ONLY when I'm barely moving, just enough to make sure the shift dogs can find their slots. For the curious, that's better described in the first and 139th posts linked in my sig.

I use oil with moly for the subtrans as recommended by HondaBob, photos in post #128 of my sig. Note that I only did that recently (at about 4,000 miles), no bangs previously. For the new guys - DO NOT use this oil in your engine/DCT, subtrans only.

Only reason I asked is because @highpocket74 on here makes really nice shifter plates and I'm wondering why you chose a Hess plate over a supporting members stuff?

I'm also not a Hess fan, so there is that.....

i try to support members in here, that should be obvious that I’ve been asking the group for different items. Unfortunately I’d asked two members by text that I knew had shift plates and both said that particular one and I pulled trigger. I wished I would’ve known especially cause I’d bought two.
To be honest I’m not use to looking around because when I built the Pioneer nothing whatsoever was available and I just made all my own stuff regardless what it was. Back then Other then the @joeymt33 snorkel everything on mine was one off. Just did my own things. Built not bought.
Like I said earlier this is an adjustment for me and having so many choices on what to get and from whom is different. I’ll probably fail here and there but trying. I’m always down to buy items from the group, generally I’d prefer buying from the guy that came up with an idea as opposed to a manufacturer trying to make a buck.

Figured I’d show this too. Probably already good pics but on the website it just showed the trailing arm brackets installed, but they use original arm mount hole then two 2 existing holes fr the new mount. Grabs a lot more surface area.
