P1000 Cumminspusher-the New Ride

Third build on a Pioneer platform in a year it can only get better. More lighting, more automation, more protection, more innovation, more storage, more ability, more suspension, more passengers and more fun. Less weight, less vibrations, less roof. Tiring.

Been a while since I've updated and a bit has been changed.
Added a stronger tailgate with storage. Storage is an all time low with these so this is stage one. It killed two birds with one stone. Very strong now! Two can sit comfortably with no bending you can do whatever those cables will handle.

After talking with Joey about why I didn't feel comfortable about lifting the suspension (were usually in very tight stuff and cross hills) I decided to get the roof done first. Horse before the cart! Lower it get center of gravity down. One of my favorite mods and by far the cheapest. 4.5 hours it was one of the fastest. Will be cutting full glass shield, and full doors down later

Did it right it's fully sleeved with spot welds on both sides of the cuts as my family's lives are in my hands. I took 4.5 out of the back and 5.5 from the front. It gives it a damn nice rake that will still get 4 inches lower under branches and force it's way under things better AFTER the upcoming lift. It'll keep you roof weight down better through it. I sprayed SEM Rock chip guard rather the the easy to scratch gloss Honda finish. While I was at it I lowered the front an additional inch and used a center brace in the middle section to stop the pool of water that collects in the roof. No more backing up getting drenched!

Congrats on no being " that guy" anymore with the $200 trailer pulling a 20k machine lol
Lol I'm that guy that pulls 20k machine on a new trailer with a $200 truck lmao. Seriously though, I love my ole girl. She goes anywhere I ask her off-road, and pulls all that weight up a steep grade getting to the riding trails. But at 226k miles she's ready for retirement.

Probably better pulling with an old truck then trailer. At least if the truck broke down you could stilll drive the Honda. Sharp use to give me hell about that trailer. You just need to get the XD Delton and you'll be fine.

I like fixing up old trucks and then selling and reinvesting the funds into another project. It's a 1999 2500HD, last year of the 454 BB. I added the bed and going to use it around the place to haul my welding equipment for my side jobs.

Not too tough at all if you can get to the edges ok. They do sell kits to do it at auto parts stores but I've always found a good 3m tint is the best as it's easier to get the bubbles out. This all being plastic I just scuffed it and used automotive clear coat with 10% black pigment in it. I only go 20% on taillight sap they are still plenty visible (the cops like to see red tinge still) and 40% on windshield.

Lol! I thought about doing the same to my windshield but I sprayed OFF, insect repellent, one night and overs prayed! it acted like acid to the finish! I do have tail lights tinted temporarily!

You can kind of see it here! Looks good, but I am scared of getting ran into when trail riding during day!
